Nrupen Desai is currently a master student at San Francisco Bay University pursuing his degree and working on his Curriculum Practical Training with Xilinx, he is on track to graduate in December 2016 with a Masters of Computer Science. The CPT program at SFBU is a unique way for students to find real life applications of their coursework and graduate programs. By the time students from SFBU graduate, they would have not only gain knowledge of their subjects but also acquired relevant experience working in the field.

For Nrupen, his previous work in the IT industry made him realize that in order to move up into an upper position, he was required to obtain a higher degree. Aside from advancing his knowledge by getting a higher degree, Nrupen also improved on his job searching skills. He sought out other’s advices, from his seniors and mentors, and constantly revised his resume to reflect his latest skillset and career path in a concise and comprehensive way to attracts recruiters. In the end, a recruiter from Xilinx noticed and reached out to Nrupen for an interview. Now, Nrupen works at Xilinx as Global Operations and Quality Engineering Tools intern.
With his academics and career on track, the next step for Nrupen Desai is to go on road trips with his friends and explore what the United States. He wants to intake all that life has to offer and to enjoy every moment.
